Since 2017, we’ve been supporting our community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts. Mishelle O'Shasky

Founder and Executive Director

In 2017, Mishelle founded Reentry Associates, LLC, recognized and registered with Small Business Association as a Woman Minority Owned Business. She is also the Founder and CEO of The Peer Association INC. She is trained in Trauma Informed Care, Certified as a Wisconsin Peer Specialists, Emotional CPR, and Motivational Interviewing. Mishelle is a consumer of mental health services, who also self-identifies as a criminal justice-involved consumer. Her lived experience of mental health and substance use challenges as well as her history with the criminal justice system give her firsthand knowledge and familiarity with the cultures and languages of these communities.
Mishelle has foraged powerful working relationships with WI Department of Corrections, WI Department of Justice, WI Division of Care and Treatment, Division of Community Corrections and Conditional Release as well in her respective peer community leadership colleagues and other vested Stakeholders. Mishelle also is Gubernatorial appointed to several State Council related to mental health and the criminal justice system.


Oliver Johnson

Certified Reentry Peer Specialist

Involved with Recovery, Aftercare and Reentry since 2003, Mr. Johnson’s passion to see restoration of lives affected by trauma and addiction stems from recounting his own personal battle as a Vietnam Veteran affected by trauma, addiction, and prison. As chairperson for the Prison Aftercare Network (PAN) of Wisconsin, he oversees PAN networking, collaboration and building strategic community partners, including building of Ministry Delivery Teams, to fulfill the mission of the organization. Oliver has experience as a Field Director for Prison Fellowship International facilitating a pilot reintegration mentoring program at Racine Correctional Facility. Mr. Johnson holds B.A. Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and is a Wisconsin certified Peer Specialist. Mr. Johnson has received several community awards for service from Project Return, Cardinal Stritch University, BASICS, and several others.
